AAU means Amateur Athletic Union. In youth basketball, families often use “AAU” to mean club or travel basketball: players train as a team and compete against other clubs at tournaments.
At Level Up, athletes work on their skills, learn team concepts, and put that work into games. Coaches use an assessment to find the right fit. Team placement is earned through development and readiness.

Young athletes build their fundamentals, learn teamwork, and get their first competitive experience.

Level Up 8U / 9U
We’ll share tournament dates and game times with families when they are released.
Dates and locations are subject to change. Team assignments, opponents, and game times will be shared after tournament organizers release them. Check your team’s update before making travel plans.
Be there at least one hour before your game unless your coach gives different instructions.
Bring your Level Up uniform, basketball shoes, water, and any equipment your coach requests.

This is a full season commitment. Before enrolling, confirm exactly what your team’s plan covers, including uniforms, tournament entries, travel, hotels, and spectator admission.

WHAT YOUR FAMILY IS SAYING YES TO
Consistent practice builds confidence,
team chemistry, and better basketball.
Arrive prepared and on time. Missing required practice reduces playing time. Repeated absences can lead to losing a team spot.
Learn the team’s plays and defensive concepts, study film, and be open to coaching and feedback.
Respect teammates, coaches, and the facility. Bring consistent effort and a positive attitude on and off the court.
This gives athletes space to focus, build independence, and follow their coaches. A parent or guardian may remain when needed for an athlete’s medical care. Please notify the front desk before practice so arrangements can be made.

Team placement is based on assessment, progress, and readiness. Playing time is earned; required practice attendance and learning team concepts matter.
Level Up works with athletes at different skill levels. An assessment helps our coaches recommend academy training, a development group, or an AAU team that fits your athlete.
They are the three teams within the 11U to 13U program. Coaches determine placement based on your athlete’s development and competitive readiness.
Sessions marked “Required” must be attended. Sessions marked “Optional” are encouraged. All listed Girls Development practices are required.
The calendar shows published tournament dates. Exact game times and team assignments are shared with families after tournament organizers release them. Some teams’ tournament dates are still being finalized.
